Reducing Plastic Bag Waste in the St. Julia Community

The Eco Club will be facilitating the “Plastic Bag Grab” challenge from Monday, April 15th – Friday, April 26th. The challenge encourages schools to leave and take action on plastics waste by reducing their use, while collecting discarded plastic bags for recycling in their schools and beyond. Pause to Play

April 8 – 12
St. Julia Billiart will be participating in York Region’s Public Health event “PAUSE TO PLAY”  Students are challenged to put their TV’s, gaming devices, tablets and computers on “pause” for one full week.  Instead they are encouraged to participate in active outdoor play.  Students can track their success with the student activity log and hand it in ... Intermediate Boys Basketball Season Final

Congratulations to the Intermediate Boys Basketball team on an outstanding season. The team was divisional champions and made it to the areas.

They were able to claim 3rd place in the round of 5. Thank you to all the team members who worked hard at every practice and game. Go Jayhawks Go!

Eco Club News

Our Eco Club has been working hard to save the environment! Looking ahead Earth Week is April 23 – 26th, with events planned throughout the week. We are also asking students to challenge themselves to bring in “waste-free” lunches as many days as possible throughout the week. Please check out the Eco Newsletter link below.
