Continuing Education Public Information Session – St. Julia Billiart CES
Virtual Public Information Session
When: March 7 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
On March 7 at 6:30-8:00pm, the YCDSB is hosting a virtual Public Information Session to present and seek feedback on a proposal from our Adult Continuing Education department regarding locating an ESL program at St. Julia Billiart CES.
The purpose of the public information session is to:
- Provide an overview of a proposed partnership opportunity with YCDSB Continuing Education Department to use excess capacity at St. Julia Billiart CES
- Provide a forum for families and the community to ask questions and provide feedback pertaining to the proposal.
Families can participate in the virtual public information session by accessing the presentation on the Board’s Youtube Channel .
Why: As part of the 2019-2024 Long Term Accommodation Plan, the Board established a direction to explore community partnerships to utilize excess space in schools which supports the Board’s strategic commitment to effective use of resources. At the December 7, 2021 Corporate Services Committee Meeting, Trustees approved a motion for staff to conduct consultation with the school community regarding accommodating YCDSB Continuing Education program within the school facility.
Opportunities for Input
We welcome your input and we are interested in answering your questions. The virtual public information session will provide families with an opportunity to offer comments or share any thoughts about the potential opportunity of the Continuing Education programming at your school. A link will be provided for parents and guardians to ask any questions they may have. Questions not addressed during the meeting will have answers posted to the webpage.
